    The pathetic service from this company is astounding. This is a scam from start to finish. The 3rd party vendor who assured me that our internet usage would be well covered by their $59.99 mthly package has proven to be a lie. The speed we were assured..."as fast as and faster than most" is a load of crock. HughesNet would have trouble keeping up with a dial up.   • Hughesnet Satellite Sucks

    This is absolutely the worst service ever but I didn't have anything else available when I purchased it. Now I want to cancel it. I called HughesNet THREE times and asked them to cancel the account. There is no option to get to Account Management through there automated phone system, but that is who you have to talk to to have the account canceled. Apparently HughesNet circumvents customers canceling by simply never allowing them to speak to this department.   • FAP - "Fair Access Policy"

    The HughesNet "Fair Access Policy" is not only NOT FAIR, but the status meter program either doesn't work properly or they are charging for time spent on computer - assuming they are recording megabytes and not kilobytes. I am paying $79 per month when Cellcom, who has a bad reputation for internet access, only charges $49 - and their FAP system not only is not fair, but it incorrectly shows usage when no one is on the Internet!   • Hughesnet Do they Respond?

    I've been reading all of the reviews and decided to sign up. My question is, Is Hughesnet listening? What becomes of all the problems this company has? I've been with hughesnet since 07 and I have upgraded service believing it would assist with video conferencing. Have been on the receiving end of phone calls to tech services that are extremley difficult to understand. I'm being respectful with great difficulty.   • No Customer Service

    I've been a Customer of Internet since 2003, when the satellite services via AOL were taken over.There are no other options for Internet or TV in my area., disabled my modem on 6/11/11, claiming it was obsolete. All calls to Hughes go in circles, with promises of escalation & call backs. I've had brand new satellite & modem installed, installers have been to my home 3 times & Hughesnet can't seem to get the new modem registered, yet they are charging me for services.
